Q. Why would I consider staying at Homestyle Suites instead of a hotel?A. Homestyle Suites provides tastefully furnished, fully equipped apartment style accommodation on a full time rental basis. We offer secure, comfortable, clean living spaces where our guests can settle in and feel immediately at home. Our suites are newly renovated with modern decor and new furnishings. You will be one of only a handful of people that have lived in the apartment as compared to the hundreds of people that have stayed in a hotel room. And, Homestyle Suites are competitively priced at less than the nightly rate paid for a single hotel room. Q. What is the difference between Homestyle Suites and a hotel?A. To name just a few..., having your own place in Thompson means you don't have to pack your bags and check in and out of hotels when you travel home for the weekend or when business takes you elsewhere for a day or two. Homestyle means you are at home during your non working hours, able to rest and relax in a home environment. Homestyle means you are able to cook your own meals or entertain friends and associates instead of always having to eat in restaurants. Our summer nights are long and our outdoor courtyard, with a BBQ and Gazebo, allows you to enjoy these summer nights. Q. What do you mean by 'extended stay'? How long does my stay need to be?A. Stays must be a minim of 30 days.The majority of our clients stay 60 - 150 days. Stays longer then 30 days are not subject to GST/PST. We do offer lower rates on the longer stays and stays over 90 days. Download our rates sheet to compare. Upon making a reservation you will provide us with an expected length of stay. Should you need to depart early or stay longer just let us know as soon as you can and at the latest two weeks in advance of the end of the monthly billing period. Q. Do you have smoking suites available?A. Homestyle Suites provides exclusively non-smoking accommodations. Smoking is permitted in the common courtyard. We also have a bench at the main entrance (facing the parking lot) where smoking is permitted. Q. Do you allow pets?A. Currently Homestyle Suites have no units that allow pets. Q. Is parking provided?A. Parking is included and each space can accommodate 2 vehicles if necessary. Additional parking stalls are available for a extra charge of $30 per month. All parking stalls have plug ins. Q. Do you have laundry facilities in the suites?A. Yes, each building has coin operated washer and dryer as well as iron and ironing board. It is $2.00 to wash and $1.00 to dry. Q. Is a deposit required to confirm a reservation?A. Yes, we require a $300 deposit/per suite for all bookings. Q. What if I need to cancel my reservation?A. Homestyle Suites has a 14-day cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation on or before the 14th day prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. If you need to cancel with the 14 days, we will do our best to rerent the suite to another guest, in which case, the deposit is 100% refundable. Q. What if I need to leave earlier than expected?A. We understand that departure dates hinge on external circumstances. All we ask is that upon registration , you provide us with your expected departure date, then stay in touch with us in regards to a confirmed date when known. Q. What do your apartments cost?A. The rate for a Homestyle Suite ranges between $1900 to $3270 per month depending upon the number of bedrooms and the length of stay. There is no extra charge for additional people. After the first month, partial month stays are prorated accordingly. View rates sheet. Q. How do I pay for the apartment?A. We will process your reservation with a credit card, using our Authorization form, or you can provide this information online when booking. We will then email you the Occupancy Agreement. Once you have signed this, you can fax it to us. At that time, we will process the first day invoice the agreed monthly/daily rate, reflecting your deposit and email this to you. This invoice needs to be paid in full at the time of check-in. Credit Card Payments: We will charge
your credit card the agreed upon monthly rate upon check-in (applying
the deposit in the first month as indicated above) and then again at
the beginning of each subsequent monthly period. Each month we will
email (or mail) you an invoice/receipt showing the monthly charge and
the payment
made by way of your credit card. Q. What is included in the cost?A. The rate covers the complete cost of a fully equipped apartment including utilities, local and telephone service (Canada/US) cable television, high speed internet, indoor parking, weekly cleaning services. Click here to view more information. Q. What forms of payment do you take?A. We accept Visa, Master Card and Company Cheques. We also offer Automatic Payment options (payment automatically withdrawn from you bank account). Q. How will I find the suite and get the keys?A. We will provide you with a map and directions to your suite. Instructions on how to obtain your keys will be provided to you the day before your scheduled arrival. We can also arrange to meet you at the apartment upon your arrival to provide you with the keys and give you a guided tour.
